Lisa Yaszek is assistant professor in the School of Literature, Communication, and Culture at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she researches and teaches classes on contemporary literature, science fiction, and gender studies. She also serves as literary coordinator and project manager for the Bud Foote Science Fiction Collection at Georgia Tech. Her first book, The Self Wired: Technology and Subjectivity in Contemporary Narrative, was published by Routledge in 2002. She is currently working on a second book called Galactic Suburbia: Housewife Heroines, Lady Scientists, and the Lost History of Midcentury Women's Writing.
